Have uploaded this latest video showing The Zug Adora performing the STEAM cycle. The water is heated by the main element in the base of the drum, this ensures a steady stream of steam throughout the drum allowing the clothes to be completely bathed in the steam continuously..You will here the injectors pumping small amounts of water into the drum to keep the minimum of water over the heater at all times allowing maximum steam output with minimum usage of water. You can also hear the hissing of the water when the heater kicks in...
Having used Steam Programmes on washers with Steam Injector units (like a seperate kettle with a pump jet, i think this method is better as it allows the drum to be completely full of steam for maximum benefit. |

Doesnt replace "Washing" in this machine - this programme is used to de-crease your clothes, or refresh them after storage!!
Some machines inject steam into the wash - the theory being that you use a low temp 40d programme and add boost of steam to raise the temp or sanitise, I dont think it works all that well in that scenario, as soon as the steam leaves the jet it hits the cooler clothes and drum and dissipates instantly!! |

When I had my Bendix and Philco Duomatics with condenser drying, I could achieve the same thing by tossing something wrinkled in the machine with a damp cloth. Later, I did the same thing with the Filtrator. It was great for a wrinkled suit coat, etc. |
