Hello guys!
Today I was on urban-retro Mixer festival traditionally organised in Belgrade.
This year was one more exibitonist - Gorenje - who exposed it's oldest machines!

Detergent compartment

of PS 652 and 663 - pre wash, main wash, no softener

Now rarity

First time I see this one - it is certainly the simplest model of all, as it has only 6 programmes, and 1 detergent compartment - compared to standard 9 and pre and main wash for detergent

Above previewed machines

..were made under the Zanussi-Rex licence (link) in Velenje factory, Yugoslavia (Slovenia today) - where modern Gorenje's are made today aswell.

The machines that are going next are first of Gorenje totally made independently :)

Here's a preview of vintage gorenje logo :)

PS 664 BIO S

Now this is a very important machine! With PS 663 it was deffinatley the most famuos here.

My grandmother had that machine till September 2002, when it was replaced with Gorenje WA 583 (also bestseller in Serbia)

Detergent draw - with softener compartment!!!
Above on the lid is written what I wrote above - what which button means, what do lights mean, and where to put detergent/softener depending on programme

Ooops one picture missing

This is the Detergent draw of SUPERAVTOMAT 275 (the simplest one) as you can see - it has only one compartment

rating plate
take a look at 550rpm - here it was a superfast spin! compared to today's 1400rpm. Fastest on this market were only Candy washer/dryers with 800rpm at the time, and between washers this was considered as luxury :)

No wonder today the best seller in Serbia is 600rpm then :)

Hello Dejan :)

gorenje's profile picture
Thank you very much for those pictures!

My grandmother also had a PS 664 BIO S washer. Indeed it was a very popular machine.
I still have the original receipt and the owner manual. It was bought in 1975.

The SUPERAVTOMAT 275 is almost similar to the Zanussi my grandmother had. Even the blueish color of the control panel is the same. Hers didn't have the detergent dispenser though. I remember that 1 was 95*C and 4 was 40*C. Is 2 60*C? Or is 3 60*C? 5 was rinse and 6 was spin.

Gorenje Rex Zanussi

As I said, the first machines from Gorenje were done on licence from Rex-Zanussi.
That wasn't a rare picture to see in Yugoslavia, as Italian-Yugoslavian collaboration was really good on all fields.
So, Gorenje bought a whole project from Zanussi, and just made machines in Velenje, Slovenia. So sure it is very similar to your grandmother's Zanussi :)

Also, from Yugoslavian-Italian collaboration were:
OBOD white goods (montenegro) - Indesit washing machines and Bauknecht dishwashers
KONCAR white goods (croatia) - Zanussi after gorenje started producing for itself
ZASTAVA cars (serbia) - Fiat

Ingemar,
Can you please upload the rest of the pages from user manual of PS 664 BIO S? :)

when you look at the picture of the Olympic77 you can see slight design queues they use even today on modern Gorenje's like mine

Modern Gorenje's offer...

...2000 rpm spin speed, I think. The drums on that vintage machines look rather small, I believe they're 4,5 kg? Standard for that time, of course...

What is that inside the drum? Is it an injector or a paddle with spray nozzles?
