I hope this is the right place for this. Just wanted to let you know that these were available. They are in Palm Springs, CA, about 100 miles out of Los Angeles. These solid state models are my favorites but I am not in a position to get these.

We have a customer here on Capital Hill that has this pair in Platinum, we just did a service call on the washer a few weeks ago to tighten the belt, they are in like new shape as only one middle aged lady lives in the house.

I listed these back on 5/29 "Interesting Set in Rancho Mirage." Apparently they were "original equipment" when you purchased a new home in The Rancho Mirage Country Club. Scroll down to the link and check it out. If they were earlier models with lighted consoles and the dryer was gas I'd probably have checked them out.

These are belt drive machines.  I have the mechanical version called Imperial 70.

On a side note, I wonder if the washer makers who use the names like Imperial and Mark in their higher end models, got them from the luxury cars with the same names. Chrysler had the Imperial, and Lincoln had the Mark series Continentals.

Sorry, I didn't see that you had posted them before. My parents have these machines in Harvest Gold, I believe. Does anyone know what all of the different models with the electronic controls were and also the Lady Kenmore Models?

Hey Tommy, no "sorry" needed. It is interesting to note that when new the RMCC homes came with these fancy-schmancy Whirlpools already installed. That's what you get when you buy a country club home in a city that has to think up ways to spend it's excess money. Lucille Ball was honorary mayor of Rancho Mirage on two occasions and my friend Arthur Newman (Paul was his baby brother) was a City Councilman. Lots of famous people live and have lived there...of course I live on the other side of the tracks, way way on the other side.
