...looking near mint, what is so special about it? No beautiful control panel here just one boring knob... ;-)

I Wonder If...

This is the model used by Ted & Thelma Bullpit in good ol' Kingswood Country.

In the episode, "Whodunnit," Thelma is talking about what she is going to get for her Birthday, and mentions to Grita (her daughter) about the Hoover model being installed for free from Myer's store.
Ted puts in a wall safe instead - apparently you can wash dishes in it (Thelma, Grita, Craig and Bruno's idea of the wall safe!)

I think this DW has little to do with Hoover I think it came out of the Vulcan Dishlex range and was rebranded. Has anyone seen a Hoover like this in the UK?

Could it be a Philips?

Remember in the 1980s Hoover and Philips Australian operations were exchanging bodily fluids and wanted a merger. (blocked by the ACCC in the end.)

Looks a bit like some Philips stuff of the time.

Well it looks to me

Like a variant of the machine you posted about a short while ago - perhaps more BOL than that one. Looks like an Italian Philco to me, as i posted before

Think Al is correct, if I remember all early Hoover dishwashers where Italian made, come to think of it there was never an Australian made model.....
