A big thank you goes out to Ken/bajaespuma for donating today's absolutely beautiful doctrine!
Such rare machines these Chicago Plant made solid-tub Hotpoint washers. Larry at Modern Parts always said they were his favorite all time machines and he did plenty of servicing work on them in his day. I believe he still uses one as his daily driver. CLICK HERE TO GO TO Unimatic1140's LINK | ||

![]() Thanks, Ken - and Robert!
This is just beautiful advertising - the machines are absolutely stunning, and rare. I saw a low-end model at a garage sale in our neighborhood when I was in high-school but knew not to even ask... I've seen a couple of dryers from this time around, but never another washer (locally anyway) and the Hotpoint I have came from Robert that he found in Minneapolis. As far as I have been able to tell, Hotpoint only had a couple of small dealers here until the mid-seventies when the powerhouse of retail Nebr. Furniture Mart put Hotpoint front and center in the price wars with other dealers. I remember way more than I could count - from the almond-brown panel models and about a gajillion black-panel machines, that are still littering Craigslist today.
