I bought a bottle of of this at Family Dollar, and it's so strong it takes my breath away when I'm cleaning my bathrooms. It says it contains bleach, it smells like it's 99.9% bleach, LOL. It does a great job on my black bathtub as well as the sinks and toilets. I also use it on the bathroom counters as well. I've used the the Mean Green general purpose cleaner for years now, but this is the first time I've tried the mildew remover. It was only $2.50 for a one quart bottle, I wish Family Dollar sold it in the gallon bottle like they do the Mean Green general purpose cleaner.

family dollar

I use another Mean Green product. Generally, I am happy with most off-brand cleaning products there. Its also one of the few places with a decent selection of powder detergents.

I buy all my cleaning and laundry products at Family Dollar or Dollar General, but mostly Family Dollar because it is within walking distance from my house, and if I buy to much to carry, the clerks always let me take a cart home, which I always return. I like the Fabuloso cleaner, and one called Awesome. The always sell two large bottles of Pine Sol for $5.00. I also like Kaboom bathroom cleaner.

Thanks Jim for reviewing the Mean Green Mildew remover.  I will go get some tomorrow and try it. If that strong you should open a window or a fan in the door blowing into the room.

I have a small dual fan in the window, and the ceiling exhaust fan going, otherwise I think I probably pass out, LOL.

Mean Green + Magic Erasers

I had a bit of an OCD flare-up on Friday, and cleaned my entire kitchen floor on my hands & knees mostly with (non-bleach) Mean Green and generic Family Dollar Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. I had been meaning to do this for some time. It is old cheap vinyl, and I want to remodel, but I must say the results are pretty amazing and the floor looks totally different! amazing bright now.

The Mean Green all purpose cleaner is great stuff too. At times I find it a little strong, so I have been diluting it a little in the spray bottle. I have used it in my mop water as well. Good stuff and only $5.00 for a gallon bottle.
