Hey guys!
Well, what a month. First i found the LG DD washing macihne at a give away price and then on friday i picked up this baby at a give away price as well. the owner said it was "in working order" but yesterday when i out a load in, i found out that it doent get hot :/ but nevertheless, i am sending it to my repairman tomorrow.
But besides that minor issue, i really like it and dont thnk i'll sell it. I've always wanted an LG dryer but could never find 1 at a reasonable price. heres some pics! :D

I love the styling on LG appliances. They always so modern and fresh. And yes their black appliances are very nice! I've never liked the idea of black appliances but once I saw the LGs I changed my mind. And as I said, I'm sending it in tomorrow so fingers croSsed I'll get it back friday or saturday morning (I love that my repairman is open on saturdays) and I'm sure it will dry like a bomb! Its a bit squeaky as well so I'll have that sorted out too. I'm sending it in so I might as well get all the issues ironed out

its fixed!

The LG is fixed! It went in monday morning and came back friday afternoon. It needed a new element. Get this - the people I bought it from had dried lace curtains in it and the expanding wire that you use to hang them with, had gone through the back of the drum, wound itself around everything and caused the element to blow. That's also why it was squeaky when it ran.

So due to horrible weather today, I tumble dried everything so here are my thoughts :

I 1st dried a load of lights on mixed fabrics standard dry (it was a load that ranged from golf pants to fuzzy socks to satin pj's) I can't remember how long it took but everything was dry at the end. I then put a load of thin-ish things on cottons standard. It took an hour but there were a few things that were still slightly damp so I put those on time dry for 25 mins and they were dry after that. Then I did a load of jerseys on delicate. Not sure how long it took as it was on while I went out to lunch but when I got back it was finished but still a bit damp. So I put it on time dry for 30 mins with low temp selected and they came out dry.

I always selected anti crease as I have a habit of forgetting stuff in the dryer and I don't alwats hear the beeper.

I think its a lovely dryer. Good capacity. Low heat is quite competent so its good as an energy saving feature. think I'll be using mixed fabrics standard and time dry more than cottons or delicate.
