Hello everybody,

Congratulations for your forum which i have discovered trying to solve some problems with a washing machine which i acquired from my aunt who in turn acquired from a thrid person, all gratis. The washing machine was said to be in a working condition.

It is a SANGIORGIO 290X AMICA QM ECOLOGY SYSTEM

The main problem i am facing is that this machine doesn't centrifuge. It is rotating durin washing cycles but when the centrifuge programme is on, it never reaches more than 100 - 200rpm (approx) resulting in (heavily) wet clothes.

So i would like to ask if someone can give me any idea of what could be wrong or if someone has a manual or even the electric connections for the programs and manometer. Or generally pinpoint a direction for help I would prefer to attempt to fix it myself before calling a technician.

A follow up post is an image of the machine as a whole

Hi. You should check brushes on the motor and then the electronic board. You might need to resolder dry joints on the electronic board. Does the machine motor produces any sparkling light when it spins? You can see it easily if you observe the floor obscuring totally the room. Is the wash speed normal?
Greetings from Italy (The country that produced your Sangiorgio machine)

SanGiorgio!

Hi! Im new to the site too, and I just stumbled across this picture doing a google search! My nan (who lives in Italy) has a SanGiorgio machine, its now 20 years old and still going strong as ever! Next time I go to visit her I will take a picture and post, but its a Panda 2X model. Didnt spin more than 370rpm as common for MANY washing machines in Italy of the time!

I just hope to come across one here as they one of the best!
