Hi Ben.

This was the basic Hotpoint 95 800 ELECTRONIC and came in two versions, both of which were some sort of exclusive model.

The original 9506 was introduced in December 1992, to the usual style of 95 design as shown below, with textured fascia panel and metal lid, with lid side strip trims...

The second version 9506 was introduced in August 1994 and was restyled to match the new AQUARIUS 95-series machines.
This resulted in the fascia going to shiny gloss plastic and the AQUARIUS style of powder drawer was also used, with the following result.
The 9506 was NOT an AQUARIUS machine though!

Hope the above helps.

As to acquring one, the only suggestion is to keep an eye on ebay as that is the only place that I have ever seen them.
However the last year has seen the 95's become very few and far between, with even the later WM Vogue series of machines from the late 1990s becoming much rarer too.

Keep your eyes peeled!

Paul

95 Series

Its a shame that these machines are no longer made. The 9506 you just posted above would do me perfectly!! It would last long and keep me going for years! If Indesit did not purchase hotpoint, Than these long lasting machines would have been made for much longer!

Thanks for posting these pics!

The model immediately before these was better as it had an ordinary electric interlock rather than the horrible mechanical gubbins these used. The previous door seal was also more substantial so less inclined to go in holes after a few years hard use.
