We lucked out on our forage today! This is what we found. I think it's a 61 or 62 but not sure. (Steve Gyrofoam Riley, Me & Lady Kenmore Robert) Mark

Wow guys...at first glance I thought it was the matching washer!!! I was just talking about that machine to Greg...in the ad where coins are flying into the lady's apron. One of my dream machines, that's for sure!!! And it has the infamous door rust problem too...OY! They should be ashamed for not using porcelain...

Great find guys...now on to locating the Laundromat twin! :)

Excellent find, guys! I don't believe I've ever seen that dryer (or its companion washer, for that matter) before. High styling on that console, that's for sure. Congrats!

Hi FilterFlo! The dryer has a blower problem like many of these dryers did. Easy fix though. It runs almost silently and seems to be very well made. It is too bad that they didn't use more porcelain in these machines. My goodness, when the DRYER rusts, that's pretty sad. Mark

Wow...great news Nate if you're not joking! ;-)

I would love to have one of these "slant-front-straight-tub-potato-pulley" machines...interested in a trade with something I have? ;-)

That dryer is not newer than 1960

According to my research Westinghouse stopped using the plain W with the line under it in late 1960 or early 1961 and went to the current W with the dots on the points. I also know this because we had a 1960 Westinghouse Fridge at our summer cottage that was put in the kitchen when the house was built in 1960 and it had the same emblem as this dryer.

What a great Westy dryer. The panel is very similar to the model my mom had when I was very litte except hers was not as raised and the control panel was mostly turquoise but exact same timer knob.

That dryer has really fun 1963 or so styling! Congrats Mark, when I first saw the picture I thought it was the washer and it was full of suds! Turns out it was the white dryer drum. A beauty that's for sure.
