Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone had a Maytag DE702. I did some searching in the archives, but the only picture I could find was from a 1964 sales brochure that swestoyz posted back in 2008. I've seen a few A702s, and several DE701s, but only one DE702. Was there an issue with the 702 dryers that make them not last as long? Could one convert a DE701 into a DE 702 easily, if you could find a control panel? Or a A702 to an A700 for that matter? Kind of random, but just curious.

I have a beautiful pink set and I am waiting for the day that I can incorporate into a retro pink bathroom that I have upstairs in my house. I think these were some of the best machines that ever came out of Newton, IA. Even though the 702 has a smaller tub than the 806, I think it washes better. I think the dial on the 700 dryer is better than most Tag dryers in that it has Automatic and Timed selections. RevinKevin has a gorgeous Yellow set of these; you can find it using his name and the Tag model numbers in the Super Searchalator: |
