This is a great video showing how to get into the programming mode of the W 3033. Remember the door of the washer needs to be closed for this to work!

Thank You Rod for the information. Malcolm.......... Let us know how you make out and like the machines. Also if you made the adjustment for the water levels. I think the manuals are on the mielsusa website. Ray |

Hi Malcolm. Nice color for the laundry room. So there were not other programming selections to increase the water other thanone you set? I think the video had more, but maybe it was changed? Now...You need some Persil for this machine. Keep us informed as you wash. |

Yeah. I think all the settings Andrew posted in the video are still valid. Didn't want to change too many at one time. Maximum water seems to have done the trick. I think there is some method to change the [SENSITIVE] behaviour, but haven't investigated that yet.
Another option that intrigues me is one called [ALLERGY] but I need to do some research before playing with functions I don't understand. They'll get a good workout this weekend... Malcolm |

Hi Malcolm I watched the videos on youtube. I was impressed. It seems with the options programmed that they add more water to the cycles. That is smart of you to just do one option at a time. SO did you do a load in it yet? |

I will post a link to the service manual for both the T8003 and W3033 this weekend - the files are too big to email. Andrew |

Thanks Andrew. I'm sure it will be a good read!
Yes, I ran a load of jeans last night. It performed very well. I am still somewhat amazed by the dryer. Seems so small but handles the same sized load as a regular American dryer. Not sure how, though. Must be magic. I will probably wash everything that isn't nailed down this weekend. Malcolm |

Well, that was a tough decision. And the final color isn't really what I wanted to put in there, but it works. I initially wanted to go with a dark grey. But the selected paint chips really didn't go well with the tile.
The fallback color was a deep dark chocolate, but had second doubts about it being too dark for all the walls. Went with my third choice and really had doubts when it was going on the wall. But after a couple of days, it has grown on me. Malcolm |

The paint was purchased at Lowes. I think the brand is Valspar. I will check the color number when I get home.
The number of towels that I can wash in this machine is 4. But mine are the large bath sheets and they are thick and very heavy when wet. 4 was the most I could wash in the Speed Queen so that was one of my test loads in the showroom. Malcolm |

So Malcolm, I know it's off topic but are you eventually going to make accomodations for both sets eventually, or are you going to switch them out as desired? |

I did about 9 loads this weekend. Several of them were done in 'PROFILE' mode aka COLD FILL. The most impressive load was the car washing towels. Cleaned 'em right up. I have about 60 microfiber squares that I would use for cleaning the car. Everytime I needed to wax, I would buy a fresh package. Some have gotten thrown away but I had a bucket full of dirty ones in the garage.
So far, I am very impressed with cleaning results. Malcolm |

Yeah the water heats from cold to whatever temp selected. Honestly, I don't think it added much more than 15 minutes to the program, but I wasn't really timing it.
I still believe that the 30XX series is more flexible and better built than the 48XX machines. Plus the 48XX machines have been discontinued. Malcolm |

I have used quite a few of the programs, but have several yet to try out. The washer is very impressive. Tonight, I washed a load of throw rugs. Used the Custom program. These rugs are not rubber backed and can take a long time to dry. However, they completed drying in just over 45 minutes. I thought surly the dryer is stopping prematurely, but surprise. The rugs were dry.
