Does anyone have any information on how to program and Link a TDA1085C Motor Controller to a main PCB With the Program chip on? Its for my Electronics Project. Any Information will be of great help. Thankyou!

I have once used a tda1085C chip to repair a faulty speed controller module in a Zanussi washing machine. I did that in 1998. It belonged to a couple I knew who were at the time recent arrivals from England, who had brought their appliances over with them. The Zanussi was probably a 1980s model, grey fascia with a slider control for spin speed. Never sold here in Australia, so there were no spare parts here.
I tracked down a replacement chip in the UK from Telepart in Wolverhampton. I got a second chip to keep as a spare, which I still have. It was a simple change-over, the original Zanussi circuit used the TDA1085C.

The Zanussi repair was successful, I have now long lost contact with its owners.

I have attached a datasheet which includes a suggested circuit and even a PCB layout.

At the time I did that repair I had a new, small solar power system at home, and that Zanussi ran perfectly on that small system, which was unusual. So that circuit provided an efficient motor speed control. My system would NOT run a Hoover or Hotpoint front loader of the time, they pulled WAY too many amps.

Still this is 1980s technology, why would you want to use it? If you are doing some kind of electronics tertiary study, surely you would be better using stepper motor technology as used in LG (and Samsung??) Direct Drive front loaders. Even older LGs (early 2000's) used a belt drive three phase motor which is quieter and usesd way less power than the brush type 1980s motors that the TDA1085C is designed for.

I have no formal electronics qualifications, but I would be looking more at the controller diagrams for the Direct Drive washing machines, they are very efficient, mechanically simple and versatile. The timer/sequencing and motor speed control are all integrated into one circuit in these. The TDA1085C is just a motor speed controller, it still had a mechanical timer to switch the cycles.
