Isn't that first washer a Snorge?

I agree, I think it's a Snorge, not WCI-based product.

I don't know... The angle of the control panel looks more WCI to me than Norge... The graphics and knobs are Norge, but the whole console does not look right to me...

It's a later norge style washer in the first pic, I bought that machine or similar model in the late 80's..
They had changed the fill flume and tub ring and went to the smaller filter pan and softener
dispenser but it was a Norge. That's a pretty GE dryerl

It's a shame they letting that Ward dryer go, where can anyone find a huge dryer drum like that?

Funny...

I was going to say earlier in this post that the Wards/Norge looks a lot like Kevin's. Well Malcolm, the machine that you have in the video link went to Kevin while we did the "Great washer swap" in a restaurant parking lot in Northern California in December, 2011. So not only is it like Kevin's, it IS Kevin's. :-)

Cool WP dryer Kenny. Seldom ever see a WP in Toast. I was supposed to have a set before I cancelled them for my Kenmores when they went on sale.

I am impressed that the C/L ad writer actually knows the age of their machines, and is being honest about them. Awesome...

One thing that strikes me about that pic is that I'd swap the positions of the washer and dryer so the dryer's vent doesn't have to stretch out. It's not that long, but I'd put a dryer next to an external vent anytime vs. having to run a 10 or 12-foot hose on it.

What a lovely A208, weren't these still considered the "Highlanders" up until close to the end of the center-dial production?

A very versatile machine for a standard cap.
