I searched the first 400 entries for "westinghouse", "washer", "twin" and all I got were a couple Maytag wringers.

Guess I don't know how to work CL. Bella made it look easy. (Get it? "Easy".)

The lever on the spinner lid appears to be a lid locking lever.Kinda like what is on some lab centrifuges.

One Drain Hose!

Yes that is correct, these sling the water up onto the drainboard where it runs off into the sink, the spinner tub is solid, the locking mechanism you see clamps a lid down on the tub to hold the clothes in while spinning, a lady I knew as a child had one of these, along with a Hotpoint range on legs and the first central air in Lenoir...1927!!!

Thanks for explaining how the spinner discharges, I always wondered this, does anyone on AW have a machine which has this form of emptying the spinner, and if so are there any video's available ?

All UK twin tubs, always emptied by hose, or gravity spout.
Regards
Keith
