Hi everyone! Stumbled across this ad (washer for sale in Quebec, Canada) Genuine Hoover color finish or a mod of some sort? Curious. Anyway, this is a gorgeous looking machine from the 1970s. Here's a larger size pic: CLICK HERE TO GO TO unclejohn's LINK

The Hotpoint Supermatic looks truly great - - - seems made of real wood... Extra! :) Barcoboy, really hope that you can have the good fortune to get it! Of course, it is a real beauty. Good luck to ya, man! (let us know if you happen to obtain it) :)

![]() The seller contacted me this morning... already sold. :-(
Oh well, it wasn't really the model I was looking for anyways. I'd like to find a 051x or 061x series (cyan control panel, two control knobs, drain hose out the back), as that was the one I was most familiar with growing up. But I would have taken this one if it was still available!

![]() The only twin tubs I ever saw were all Hoovers. My aunt owned one, a good friend of the family owned two (he had two houses, so had one in each house), and another friend of the family owned one. They all were 051x or 061x models.
I'll certainly let you know unclejohn if I ever come across a Hitachi.
