I don't have a SQ. The biggest complaint that the author seemed to have was that the washer didn't spin out as well as other machines.
Okay, I accept that.
He also said it had 'uneven dirt removal' whatever that is.
But what is wrong with being able to select every aspect of your washing machine's cycle?
The lack of an internal heater is a drawback. However, if you position it near enough your water heater it may not be an issue.
What he says are bad things to me seem like positives - tough construction, simplicity. Our Asko is great and I love the 200F wash - but we're on our third machine now and I think the issue is a hardware [design] bug. It's got the Asko folks stumped.
The thing I find disappointing about SQ (aside from lack of heater) is the total inability to adjust the wash time. My 10 yr old Neptune can go from 5-34 minutes of wash and on top of that, add a Stain Cyle and PreWash. It's too bad that such a basic adjustment is missing from SQ's simple, almost elegant control panel.
