Yeah, yeah... The price... The claims... The lack of knowledge of French... The baby mama drama...

I don't think this is nearly as old as they claim, nor do I believe it is 1st of the 1st...

Oh! Canada! Please chime in!

That washer is NOT an antique, nor even vintage. It has the newer "Crosley" label, which indicates it was made in the last 20 years or so. It was not made by Crosley Corp. when they were in their original existance in Cincinnati, as they got out of the appliance business around 1956.

The Crosley name was licensed by an independent appliance store buying group a few years ago, and various manufacturers (including Maytag and Whirlpool) made goods for them.

Seems like I recall a similar looking wringer machine by Easy or GSW posted in the last month or so.

I bought one of these machines brand new and paid $600.00 for it in 1985 or so. It was made in Mexico.
It washes well and DID come with a lid.
The BIG downside of this machine is that the wringer is awful! There is no drainboard under the wringer for the water to return, so you have to have the wringer positioned so that it is over the washer or tub completly so the water will return where it should go.
After I used it for awhile, the wringer would pop open when I would wring clothes through it; not overloaded with clothes either. A HUGE nusiance.
The pump worked well and the machine is quiet and holds a lot of laundry.
I ended up giving it to a friend.
I would not recommend this to anyone. Thanks, Gary

The price for this machine is outrageous... It's not in the best of shape either.

While I am a major wringer fan this doesn't excite me. I too thought is was a newer era machhine.

Gary.. I remeber having a Speed Queen that did that the same thing with the wringer. Run any pressure thru it and it would pop.

Way over priced in MOP.

I would worry about getting mixed up with the seller and all the drama involved before I'd worry about this machine. He's waiting for some poor soul to come in and help him out of his predicament with $$$$.

From what I remember the Crosley name was resurrected back in either the late 80's or early 90's using a variety of rebadged makers and were sold at  discount type of furniture stores.. You know the type of place where they might  have  tv commercial with the owner sitting in the back of a pickup with a pig or a cow calling out deals.
