Hi everyone.

Just found this on LesPac.com (Canada) :)

Delivered to me by the seller this morning!

Vintage model from the 1970's

(More on that soon ...)

What are you searching for on LesPAC to find those? All I ever find when I search for "Hoover" is vacuum cleaners. Are you searching for "laveuse" and taking the time to go through all of them?

LesPac

Hey barcoboy,

In the search box of lespac (same for kijiji) I type, for instance, ''laveuse essoreuse'' or I try some key words like ''laveuse (or lessiveuse) portative''. On ebay and craigslist you can try those or ''Hoover twin tub'' it might give results

By the way, I bought this machine from a seller located in Saguenay (a good distance from Quebec city). I was lucky that the guy suggested for 25$ more he bring the unit at my door (he did NOT the journey to Quebec only for delivering the washer as he had other places around to go at once). Cool! He arrived with the little washer tucked in his huge pick-up truck. All I had to do is make a good cleanup of the unit (washing a washing machine... lol).

I wish you to have the same luck as I had this summer (with my two Hoover twinnies found in just about 1 month!). I think that, with the good key words and internet search on a daily basis (well, almost daily), you should find what you are looking for.

I'm still looking for a vintage Hitachi twinnie and the good ol' Hoover Constellation vacuum cleaner (the latter not so easy to find nowadays!).

Thanks for the info unclejohn-I'll give these search terms a try.

Searching on Kijiji in Sherbrooke, I found this that you might be interested in (no photo unfortunately, so I'm not sure if it's what you are looking for).

Thank you barcoboy! I called the seller on kijiji but the woman who answered told me their Hitachi is one of the newer models, a portable washer but not a twin tub, so it looks like it's not for this time. However, I've just found today someone who sells on offer an old Celebrity vacuum (Hoover) on eBay. Hit the Buy It Now button and I bought it for around 100$ with shipping and handling--from the U.S.!

Barcoboy, do not despair: someday you'll find one of the famous 051x/061x models I am sure of that. If I come across one of these I'll let you know right here in the Imperial forum.

Thanks unclejohn. Sorry about the Hitachi, but glad you got your vacuum! I will certainly keep my eyes open for a Hitachi twin tub for you.
