Just finishing the first load now.

A load of darks, put in on cottons sensor dry. Initial length of 2hr20 soon dropped down to just under 1hr.

The drum really lifts the clothes, it reminds me of a commercial tumble dryer. Not too noisy either, so far-so good.

Excellent Dryer

You have chosen well!!
That one only just launched a few weeks ago! It is a limited Edition too:) (Exclusive to Comet & Curry's & Co-op).

Will you be uploading some pics of the dryer?
Also has this one got a wave drum or a smooth drum?

I am glad it cut down the drying time to just under 1hr, my TVF770 always reduces time, even when it has a full load, the sensors are very accurate, and hope yours are too:) 5 level sensor drying, I bet you haven't tried all the levels yet. I also read somewhere that there are over 80 different drying combinations. (think it was the 8KG vented Aquarius+ dryer, which still doesn't seem to have launched!)

Nice Dryer

Hi Pedro.
Congratulations on the purchase of your new dryer, really looks cool. Are you pleased with the results.

I bought a Hotpoint dryer, model no, TVM570. I just wanted a basic air vented dryer and very pleased with it, also, it's made in the UK.

Cheers.
Paul

80 different drying combinations???

I'm quite happy enough with one - "dry"....

:-)

Congrats Pedro, these new Hotpoint machines are very solid, a fellow member has the Ultima washer and it is a fantastic machine :-)

@glenfieldmathk1 It has the smooth drum, just two wavey paddles, one at the rear of the drum and one at the front, as i said before, they lift the washing really well. I will indeed be uploading some pics as soon as possible. I need to get a longer vent hose today as the one supplied only *just* reaches the window. I noticed it on the Comet website the other day, i've been looking for a dryer for a good few weeks now and just coudn't find one that i wanted with the features that i wanted and then this one popped up so i ordered it straight away. It's part of the Hotpoint Futura range.

@paulinroyton So far i've only been able to dry one load in it, i'll be doing more washing later today so i'll try it again, including a load of towels.

It seems the very efficient 1400rpm spin in the LG will cut the drying time quite considerably :)

The results?

Hopefully you got some perfectly soft fluffy & dry towels from the dryer?
How about the other cycle, with other settings?
No Alarm? I would be interested to know whether when the alarm is chosen you only get the 3 beeps (last beep longer), or whether it beeps a few more times later? with Crease care - does it beep on every crease care tumble or just when the dryer finishes?

I take it the display is showing 1hr45 and not 145 minutes?

Thanks for taking the photo's!

Pedro - a smart dryer.  I love the look of the new Hotpoint ranges, as much as I like my Siemens vented dryer I am tempted by these for the bigger capacity.  If only I had a bottomless pit of money :-)

Have to say the new Hotpoint range machines do look nice! The dryer looks great too hope your liking it!

I was tempted to get the Condener version of this when we got our new dryer - though I've always had such a softspot for the Aqualtis machines so went for one of those instead - Cant really fault it for the money, quick, fairly quiet and seems to feel pretty solid!

How are you finding the sensor? Ours was quite hit and miss the first few cycles though ive heard they can be like this, though ever since then its been spot on even when you really mix the fabric types in the same load, this being my first sensor dryer I was always worried that it would often stop too early once the lighter fabrics dry quicker than the heavier ones, but this really hasnt been an issue :-)

Hope your as happy with yours as I am with mine, which cycles have you used so far?

Rich

The sensor on it has been pretty spot on so far. I'm really impressed with it.

Glenfieldmathk1-The alarm is indeed the 3 beeps with the last one slightly longer. You can select whether to have the alarm function or not although the other day it finished the bed and bath cycle and it beeped despite the alarm not being selected. It only alerted the once though.

I did a small load of washing late last night and put it in the dryer, it dropped from 2hr20 to 50mins, around 20mins later it switched off. I really can't fault it for performance!
