Freddy, a Monitor is like a single tub Hoover with a wringer and a side impeller for the agitator. Many had a crank wringer and gravity drain. They were ideal for smaller loads and apartment dwellers that could not have full size models. We had one many years ago at our families summer camp.

Got it, didn't know of it, actually I don't even like the impeller machines so I never interested in them.... thank you Tim for explaining.

The last in the series of Monitor washers had an electric wringer. I recently acquired one. I posted pictures. Check the archives.
