OK, I don't normally take interest in Electrolux made washing machines, because I don't think its right, how expensive they are, yet have sealed tubs, and heard many fail just outside there 5 year Guarantee. However seeing there latest range has impressed me.
I saw a video uploaded to youtube of various Electrolux washing Machines, and I just had to research more.
Looks like it is fully touch control, there is no more buttons (well except for on/off). The machine looks like a AEG Protex, and having a closer look, looks like it has a AEG Protex drum and read it has a 10KG load.
The press release is below for the washing Machine - reads interesting. (Could be something at the IFA so more photo's may get revealed after the event).
If anyone can find a Instruction manual, or any more information then please post! Does look like the steam is just refresh, like on the AEG's.

Dryers, rated A-50% energy

9KG load, and complete touch control again obviously matching the washing machine.

Read that most products are launching in September, and seeing £ could mean it is launching in the UK, which will be brilliant because they haven't sold a front loading free standing Electrolux machine here for ages.
I hope that they sell well for Electrolux.
Below I will post the review videos. It's taken from a youtube review (almost like appliances on line, just for Netherlands instead). The ranges reviewed, look like they are lower end models.

Well hopefully someone else will expand the thread with more info, or just show their information.

Elecrolux

its great to see Elecrolux are finally making freestanding washers again!, the touchscreen models look really nice, wasn't too keen on the look of the more basic models though, they look a tiny bit on the cheap side, but that's just my opinion, looking forward to finding out more!

All very nice but who needs a 10kg load? That's just ridiculous. A 5kg load fills our washing line or tumble dryer.

They look rather nice, but the sealed outer tubs are a deal breaker to me.

But I do have an impression that most people around here aren't that much bothered by sealed outer tubs anymore, am I right?

i really will buy one

looking at the manual for the TOL model, with 10kg 1400rpm spin, it has purswaded me to now get one, i was gonna get the aeg protex f98699fl, but since this is the same except with 'time manager' i absolutly love it
loved the live weight scale on the aeg, this is bigger with 'time manager' as well
love the button program selection - looks like a mock VZUG copy lol
love the fact they are bringing the jetsystem to the machine
- the only downside is not as many programs, and not 1600rpm like the protex

so mabey they should bring out one with a 1600spin and extra programs, like the outdoor, curtains and lingerie cycles like you get on the lower models and call it the ewf1609wdl

I have to say that these new Electrolux machines certainly do look elegant. That cannot be denied. How well they last remains to be seen.

I wish that Miele would get a new designer for their standard "Classic" machines. They're rapidly looking outdated. All they need is someone to improve the styling and get a whiter white. They do look rather aged compared to other machines, and somewhat cream coloured or ivory compared to, say, Hotpoint's blazing polar white.

Touch Control

Long awaited return to UK Laundry, great looking machines, the touch controls are very Zug - the one thing that puts me off is that awful AEG /Zanussi detergent & conditioner dispenser, in all that are out there at the moment this has to be the most fiddliest, full of crevices and areas that you just cannot get to to clean even with a lab bottle brush - just defies logic to me!!

Too shallow, too narrow and full of nooks & crannies, in this era of Wash & Go I have yet to see a dispenser of the above where the powder or conditioner hasnt spilt over and that the crannies underneath the fab con are coated!!

More brushed aluminium fascias please!

Both these and the new Gorenje's really tickle may fancy. Roll on seeing them in the flesh and picking up some brochures for a good read up on what the new machines are all about.

Maybe history coming round full circle, with machines taking design themes from the 1970s and 80s. Nice to move away from the all white and plastic looking fascias.

Seeing these two companies new ranges...well, they get my thumbs up!

Paul
