Uh, define 'excellent condition for its age'...

Very cool but it sure looks to me like it has seen better days...

Condition is in the eyes of the beholder... or seller.

Oink!

A wiping down with a sponge would be a good idea before photographing an item for sale - especially when asking that much. Looks like pigs lived there.

love the turquoise -

- but that's quite a project for $1500. Everything needs to be de-rusted, re-painted and re-chromed. Not for that kind of money!

Look at all the grease and dirt as a protective covering... Looks like the fridge needs gaskets. Still, could be a diamond in the rough. VERY rough...

For your $1500-they could at least clean the items. Looks like a lot of grease on them.Like the mural-picture on the wall.Kinda neat.Bet that kitchen looked REALLY nice before it was greased up.

GE Kitchen

WOW it is neat to see a GE kitchen where it is still all intact right down to the DW. And even though it is a little rough this kitchen is a much better kitchen than the other turquoise kitchen that was posted for sale a week or so ago that only had generic cabinets, no DW, no wall refrigerator and the hard to clean free standing GE 40" range.

I noticed that the range in this one is different than the one Paul (Turquoisedude) has. It looks to be a standard 30" model placed under the stainless top, rather than the smaller 24" version he has. The cooktop units (eyes) appear to be offset to the left of center of the oven door. GE didn't make a 30" range until '57, so this must be a little newer than his.

GE 30" Range in a GE Kitchen Center

Good eye Tom, Pauls GE KC is an early one, they switched to the larger more popular [ to most people ] and less energy efficient 30" ovens around 1957 through the end of GE KCs in 1960.

...Looks like they just wrapped filming an episode of "Hoarders" there.
Seeing the Realtor "lock box" on the counter tells me the house is up for sale. So may be a limited time offer.
