Eeeeehttp://www. Makes you wonder what experiments led them to realize it only works with cold water!

Eddie, perhaps you could run over and take a look (or a whiff) at the machine and report back? LOL

or maybe it was hook up to cold water by mistake or the water heater was off

Well, I'll be...were I in the marketing department at Frigidaire, I'd roll out the "Our crappy low-end dishwashers clean just as well in cold water as in hot!" as quickly as possible.

To be fair, I had a 2002 TOL Frigidaire dishwasher for five years and it was a competent, reliable, quiet (by the standards of its day) machine. It didn't handle difficult pots/pans issues as well as the Maytag that followed it (which in turn didn't do as well as the LG which replaced it) but otherwise, I had no complaints.  It was the first machine I had with alternating rack washing, and I loved the single rack option.

I'd never recommend one of Frigidaire's lower-end models, though.  They have been poor performers consistently over the years.

Cold Water DW

I always use the cold water cycle on my DW LOL.

I suspect that they mean that the heat dry cycle does not work or something like that, Frigidaire does have an on going problem with the nuts that hold the heater element in place cracking and then the element shorts and fails on their plastic TT DWs.
