Hi guys
Some pics of new acquisitions that arrived Friday morning....both for myself and Nathan (Brisnat81) Firstly, this gorgeaus Maytag A210 washer and D110 matching dryer. These came from a deceased estate. The serial number is 984173 JV which according to the information readily available...i date them as November 1982, 2 months short of their 30th birthday. The 10 series Maytags were the first domestic Maytags sold on the Australian market. I know this is a standard capacity Fabric matic model but we didn't get any TOL versions until the Dependable Care range in 1994. I'm VERY happy with them....all the washer needs is a new water valve and it'll just be like new! Cheers Leon |

Congratulaitons!!!! I love them all. Top loaders with heaters sigh!!! Is there a way you could take a better photo so the writing around the 8 temperature buttons is more legible on the Whirlpool? Very fascinated with that. I"m assuming the 5 cycles are perm press, Normal, Gentle, Knits, and Super Wash? |

Another great selection for the studio, i do hope you are leaving space for those stackables...top loaders & heaters, do they 95d wash?? the Bendix is the same as Ricky50`s so will have a check with him to see what series boot will fit!!
Your models certainly do like Push Button Selection - looking forward to the vids!! |

Congrats Leon! I'm not surprised to see they came with an heater as most of the VTG Aussie TL machines, I know some were not provided with double fill for hot and cold water only cold though.... so my curiosity is if that whirlpool got the hot water inlet also, I'm almost completely sure it had it though......I just do not know very well Aussie machines....

Great machines there I have a bendix washer dryer of the same design, I did order some door seals but I haven't checked to see if they are correct as mine doesn't need it yet. If you search on here for my user name and bendix lt you should find all my adventures with it. There is a rubber seal from soap Shute to drum too this has to be air tight for the dryer to work. Don't forget to check the gear box for oil, a large syringe is easiest to fill it with. Any help please ask I have workshop manuals and instructions I can copy
Well done Richard |

Your newest acquisitions look wonderful. If you guys cannot find the exact boot the Bendix needs, you may be able to find one that is similar in size that will work with a bit of modification.
I love the Maytag's and the Wilkins Servis looks very cool. Cant wait to see it with a new control panel. Patrick |

I think I have confused with Brazilian machines now that I think of it better........some new brazialian as old ones got cold water fill only I know, just confused brazilian machines with Aussie ones.....also I think I've confused it for the fact of heating element as some brazilian ones I've read have heating element too.....you know it is not used this in the USA, I just confused 2 countries and 2 "facts" and particularities on the machines of these places, machines and countries that I do not know well. Please forgive me Gentlemen. But I of course knew that it was common for some aussie machines to have heaters.....I'm just not used to or know them well, nor I know Australia well, so of course I may get wrong and confuse on something!

I have the same machine in the uk! It's my daily driver! The buttons are as follows 1) wash very hot rinse warm, 2) wash hot rinse warm 3) wash warm rinse warm ( all have long spins) 4 ) wash warm rinse cold short spin stop is button 5 but not numbered pops out any button 5) is dry 1 heat only.
To wash n dry set timer to 12,9,6 mins etc pres 1-4 and 5 and set dry timer and it will wash rinse spin and dry To dry only press 5 set dry timer and set wash timer to portion just after spin. I wish mine had 6) low heat as its a beast and dries a full load in 60 mins but would shrink any delicates! I tend to use 2) let it fill then press 4) for a perfect 40c wash, leave it in on 2) for 55c wash or press 1) till it heats until I feel it's hot enough ie 65-70 then press 2) so it clicks on its own merry way. The way the thermostat works it means if a 2) is selected but water very cool it may only heat to 30/40c as it requires water to be a certain temperature upon entering the machine. There is no heat on 4) no matter how cold the water, it normally mixes hot and cold by alternating the cold valve on and off if the sensor detects the hot water is too hot for a warm wash. The dryer also shuts down early if clothes are too hot or dry which is usefull. The machine is vented Richard |

How many times have I stood in awe of the rare and unusual finds Down Under. It is so annoying to watch nature shows on PBS and hear them go on and on about Aussie's unique flora and fauna, while never mentioning their washers. Likewise, we just had two weeks of intense political conventioneering about how America is the greatest in everything, and NOT ONCE did they say, greatest in everything EXCEPT washing machines, and there Australia gets the gold, and we can only admire them. LOL
Who wouldn't kill for that Whirlpool. The American model of that vintage has nowhere near the buttons, and a heater.....only in our dreams. Look at all the gadgetry on the Servis MT and how crazy the Bendix. You really know how to catch 'em, Leon. I love them all. Thank You.
