DAYAM!!  I've NEVER seen one this old.  Must be from the first year.  The panel resembles the year for Jetcone's and my family's GE washer (ours without the FF.  Someone save this!!!  Didn't know this was the first year.

This was the first freestanding model, it used a transmission to change speeds and had the option of heating the wash water by using the dry heaters.

Wow - I didn't think the free-standing model was made this early! I have seen the 1955 version of the GE washer/dryer as part of a Kitchen Center, but never a stand-alone...
The door boot on this one looked a little rough. No mention of whether this one works or not.
