I guess they are mostly late-seventies/early eighties...  First time I notice a Whirlpool branded dryer with the old style Canadian Inglis/Kenmore cabinets...

A close up view at the control panel of the Whirlpool dryer. I'm wondering if "apprêt permanant" is a correct translation for "permanant press".   The only use for "apprêt" that comes to my mind is "primer"...

Another Kenmore plastic console model at the same place. No matching washers for them...

And the Tappan Gurney range beside it (and a much newer Inglis range).

A Kenmore (Whirlpool) dishwasher from the (early?) eighties. I used to have a very similar undercounter model. When did Kenmore switch from D&M to Whirlpool for their dishwashers?

Hmmmm... I've been THERE before... Found the Maytag DE701 in that same store! When Mike and Darren were visiting in 2011, they tried to shame me into getting an 80s Kenmore set (in Harvest Gold, bien sūr!).

Kenmores Switch to WP built DWs

Started in 1984 when WP introduced the Power-Clean pump system with no filter and built in disposer. Unfortunately Sears kept selling the D&M built DWs which had been bought by WCI to this day. Stupid decisions like this are what cheapened and ruined the Kenmore appliance brand name, I always advise my customers not to go to Sears to buy appliances unless they can figure out who built them as Sears still has some great appliances and some real losers like Frigidaire built DWs, Bosch DWs, and a host of Samsung built refrigerators to name only a few.

I thought it was a bit earlier than that.

John,

Can you tell me the approximate year of the dishwasher I posted?  My parents had a very similar Inglis dishwasher before I was born (I was born in January 1977). I know these are newer as they have a smaller knob and different pushbuttons but they still have the same slanted control panel (and I thought the pumps were the same as the older ones).

Phil it is a little difficult for me to tell for sure as the Canadian models used bits from older US machines combined with current designs. I would guess it is in the 1980s but I really do not know where without the serial number and a few more details such as whether it has the filter pump or the Power-Clean pump system.
