Hi Paulinroyton,
Nice "family" photo, can you tell us more about them?
As I'm "across the pond" I'm not so familier with many of the models "over there". Is that another Hotpoint sitting next to the one with the red top? What is the one with the red top?
Thanks! This post was last edited 09/11/2012 at 16:10 |

Hi Paul, great additions in that line up Full Hotpoint hit and a Miele...now that 1509 has been causing consternation in certain people who swear it WAS on ebay but nobody could find it!!! Like the spinner, the Aqualtis should have good life left in it, all you need now is a Hotpoint twinny, and dryer ..LOl
Kevin the model you asked about is The Hotpoint Empress, a wringer washer from the 40`s up to the late 60`s, it was the workhorse of UK Washdays and was a very popular washer, 10lb load with power wringer, the first models had a hexagonal tub which was marketed to help give a better wash, the last models had a round enamel tub!! The cabinet door on the front stores the wringer when not in use!! Heres a pic of the inside: |
