I found these on CL this morning, and don't recognize their panels at all! I have the Kenmore Series 80 circa 2000 with white panels, so I'm guessing these are early to mid 90's? In the pics, they look very clean. Impressed they included a snapshot of the back of the machines.

I'm considering these for my elderly mother who likes things sturdy and simple--I'm guessing the washer is BD? Thoughts and comments if you will, please!

Oh, man!

I spoke to him this morning on the phone, and I we made a verbal deal--I guess he's a trusting fellow!

I tried to get one off the old ad, see if it works? He also had pics on Photobucket, and I'll include the link and see if that works too.

Thanks!

It is a DD and either 1997 or 1998.  Looks good and clean.  Tell you mom to use the Regular slow wash/fast spin.  Best way to wash.  If like other older folks older towels and wash cloths would get runined at the fast agitate.

Good KM Washer& Dryer

They look to be in great condition and are very good machines, although it looks like they did a little too much cold water washing in the washer judging by the blue stained dryer drum. The washer may have some scrud at the top of the outer tub that you may want to clean away.

**Fog Horn Sound**

Well, I waited for the seller to call me back yesterday with a delivery time--he had to speak to his brother-in-law about borrowing his truck. He said he had my number and would get back to me with a plan.

Didn't hear anything, so this morning I texted and asked if we had a time set. His response: "Sorry, sold."

Bummer!! I thought we had a deal, especially since his CL posting went down right after, but I guess that meant someone else walked up with cash and a truck?? By and large, CL has been good to me with finds like these, I guess I was due a disappointment.

Onward and upward for another vintage Kenmore set!

Happy Saturday...

That's too bad that happened that way, Charlie. These probably would have lasted another twenty years--simple and made back in the days when Sears had everything overbuilt.

Pat, Is the pic that Lawrence posted the consoles you are referring to? There is a set for sale close by to Little Rock. The best i can tell from reading the bad pic it comes up to 1997 for the year of manufacture. I was thinking for some reason these consoles didnt come around till about 2000.

I recently paid $150 for a 90 Series pair almost identical to those in Lawrence's picture...
Oddly enough, he had listed them under "Antiques"...
