Took a video of last weekend's load of towels on Bulky Items at 203F or 95C. This is loading, washing, cool down... and a link to an older video of mine RE: the rinse cycle at the end of the video.

A boil wash in a Duet! Cool!

Can I ask you a question. This looks like an American Duet but it's made for Euro. I wonder if the suspension is different because it uses more water than the US version?

It's interesting that it looked like it used the same amount of water as mine, up until the end when it really filled up!

I was imagine seeing boiling water in a washer when I clicked the video.

The inside of yours looks identical to mine.

Outer Tub

Is the outer tub made from the same material as the US models? That would mean the machine could handle the higher temp here.

The detergent looked like Persil Megaperls for whites.  Is that what you used?  If so did this work Ok for all of those mixed colors you had in the load?

Was that really a "Boil" wash, or just a "Sani" cycle?
Seems like the same cycle I use for towels here in the USA.

This model a from the same factory as the American units of the non-HEX generation. The outer tub is made of plastic, just like on all Duets. The suspension is a little stiffer than on the US version. Still, during the rinse, the tub lowers by a good inch. Water levels are low during regular cycles.

Yes, it's Persil but the towels are colorfast so no problem there.

Yes, it's a true boil wash defined at 203F. Since several decades, washers don't actually produce/use boiling water any more.
