Seems to use an adequate amount of water up to 28 imp. gallons. This would mean it should rinse well.

i am not refering to the cycle but the internal water heater for these models like if i wash in warm water when needed do the washer keeps the water warm same for the rare occasions i have to wash in hot water since it will mostly be set to wash in cold water.

The only cycle which does what you are wanting it to do "readily" is the whites cycle with wash water temperature set to warm.  The heater will come on and maintain the warm temperature.  If you ever want to wash in hot, Allergen is a better cycle.

Are you asking if the Duet and Neptunes do a profile wash?
Since each stain reacts to diffrent temps and protein stains can be set with hot, the washers start out in cold and slowly heat the water temp to max, which hits every stain's sweet spot.
Not sure about which washers do which, Neptune or Duet, but some use the heater only to maintain ATC temperatures for the duration of the wash, which is not a profile wash as mentioned above.

I have the Maytag 5000 Series, which is a Duet clone. This is a steam washer.
Will it do a profile wash? Yes--On Casual, Heavy Duty and Whitest Whites cycle when Add Steam is chosen.

Will it maintain a wash temperature? Yes--Same cycles mentioned above,ATC is active on those cycles.

Any Good? Well, I am not the biggest Whirlpool fan in the world, in fact if you have read some of my post I can be and am quite critical of them. However, I have had this steam pair for three year now and have been very satisfied with them. At this point in time if I were asked the question: Would you buy them again? I would answer yes.

Yes, those ARE the cycles that will use the heater.  However, you MUST slect the Add Steam (Or also named Deep Clean or Stain Treat) option.  The mahcine fills with between cool and warm water and heats the water to the temperature you have selected to wash with (warm or hot).  BUT, the Allergen and Whites (when set to warm wash instead of hot) are the only two cycles that readily include the use of the heater even to bring wash temp up to the water tempoerature selected for wash.  Tomturbomatic repeatedly posted whenh he had his Duet, especially during the winter, he would wash perm press on whites cycle with warm water temp wash just so the heater was used WITHOUT having to seleect the stin treat option.  The other cycles you mentioned (as well as Bulky Items only engage the heater if the stain treat or added steam or deep clean option is used to gradually heat the water from warm/tepid to watedr temperature selected.  I have the Duet WFW97 and it has several Specialty Cycles.  Several offer the Deep Clean option.  As I have said, I DO NOT use a cycle just because it says Jeans, or Normal/Casual (which I do not use at all because that only uses a thimble full of water, all the other cycles use more water), or what have you.  I READ cycle descriptions and make the selection as to whether I want slow, medium, or fast speed tumbling for wash and whether I want to have the heater engaged via the Deep Clean/Stain Treat option selected.  One of my specialty cycles is Sportswear.  This cycle uses low-speed tumbling.  If you select the Cotton Fabric Sportswear cycle, it is the ONLY cycle on the machihne which uses a low-speed tumble AND allows you to select the deep clean/stain treat option.;  All other cyclesd which offer low-speed tumbling do not offer that option.
