Hi guys,
So yesterday I took the bull by the horns and went to Harvey Norman (Aussie appliance dealer). I was torn between three machines. The AEG at $2400, the Samsung 10kg washer at $1700 and the LG truesteam at $2000. I ended up getting the LG. lots of positive comments and feedback re this model. I still don't see how it can be 10kg as the cabinet is only a little bigger than a regular European FL washer. The drum looks bigger but was no where as big as the Samsung drum which was a monster and the cabinet was much bigger too. Should be delivered next weekend. I love the look of the big LG washer and dryer pair available in the USA, really wish we could get those here. Most Aussie houses have separate laundry rooms so we have the space for them, unlike in the uk where a washer has to fit under the counter top in the kitchen. I would love to hear of your opinions and have I made the right choice? Cheers Simon |

Hi Simon,
If these were your choices, I would've picked the AEG. Used to have one in the 80s and 90s and I thought they were pretty good. I now have a Miele W 5965 WPS SteamCare and its great. If you were stretching your budget to the AEG did you look at the Miele W 5835 WPS which is now $2,399 with the $200 off promotion. |
