I just buy the real deal. Expensive? Hell yes, but no worries about long term use for the next 35-40 years.

Yes, but does anybody actually know the gear weight of the maytag tranymission fluid. It seems to me that it should be at least 80 to 90 wt, possibly more. It might be cheaper to get that gear weight at the auto parts store> curious les. |

I ended up using the NAPA GL-4 85w-90 gear oil. Seemed to be the best match to the original Maytag transmission oil and claims to be safe with bronze bearings. |
