That's a minty looking Speed Queen dryer. Priced reasonably too.

Sure don't see too many old pre 70's Speed Queens. I guess they didn't stand the test of time as well as Maytag, GE, and Whirlpool/Kenmore machines.

Doesn't this dryer match up with the washer Robert just scored recently?

Oh dear, I do not have a a washer with a bell.

I wonder why these early SQ dryers exhausted through the control panel.

Hi guys, the Speed Queen dryer in the link is a 1954 model, mine is a 1952 model and the two do not really match at all. Still its a good dryer find if someone wants to grab it.

This is actually later than Robert's machine, Speed Queen's second or third dryer model. I have a late 1954 set and other than a change in the door direction, it's the same machine.

You can exhaust through the panel top for indoor exhaust or from the back directly out of the fan chamber.

I have been talking to this guy about buying it.
Was just trying to confirm my shipper guy could get it first.

Yes, now I see the differences. Sorry, for some reason it seemed they were destined to be a couple...
Good luck getting it, Bygted!

That's why I posted it! I Hate to see one of these ( or any vintage appliance) go into the wrong hands or be destroyed.

Money Shot?

Does anybody have a money shot of an early SQ dryer?

Also, is there a lint trap inside this indoor/outdoor vent chamber, or did these dryers even have a lint screen?
