You just know there are emails whispering in his/her ear "are you nuts?" "that dw is worth more than $25).

Again someone go git it! *LOL*

Actually, I think I ruined him on RR dishwashers when I sent that Kitchenaid over. Still, what a find!

I probably should but I already have 3 dishwashers, which is 2 too many, lol. Heck, being a single guy, I only run the KA once every 6 days or so.

Actually, I think I ruined him on RR dishwashers when I sent that Kitchenaid over.

SmiliesFTW.com As much as I liked my old RR Maytag and the absolute yibble free washes it produced, I love my KDS machines more.

If this was WU1000, I'd probably pull a "Nate" and snag it, install and run it, then pass it on. Now I understand why he does that SmiliesFTW.com

Dan, you know if Nate was still in Oakland he'd already have this machine installed.

As Greg would note, I'd have it for a week, until I found some D&M and booted it out to play with the next one. ;-)

Dan, I can relate!

Especially about having ENOUGH dishwashers. I have a RR Maytag installed in my kitchen (WU404) but also have a KA Imperial 21 Selectra sitting in the garage along with a KA portable and a GE portable. They all work wonderfully but yet I crave a KA Superba 18 series with the square chrome buttons.

One of these days the stars will align...

Well, if you haven't found one by the time I visit Oregon again (loved my last trip this past April), then I'll have to bring one of mine up with me for you to enjoy. I transferred one in the trunk of my Towncar, so I know it'll fit.

I think the "Maytag" pictured in reply #50 (found via this link) would be a good candidate:

Don't worry guys, Roger and I have a foolproof plan for Nate's dishwasher fickleness...

We're going to sneak a KDS-18,20 or 21 into his kitchen and skulk back into the cover of darkness. That will cure this D&M illness forever!

Foolproof! What could go wrong??

Has anyone found out what model this NIB Maytag is?

Dan, You are welcome anytime... Especially with a KD-18 in the trunk!

Greg, What a great photo you posted. I just love the lights and the square buttons not to mention all the other features the 18 has.

Thanks for indulging me!

I know one thing!!!

If that was on the east coast it would be in my kitchen....I dont care two cents for a Maytag washer, but those dishwashers were something else!!!

NIB MT DW Model

combo52's profile picture

I can't quite read the model # it may be a WU200 I don't think they made 300s, this DW could be from the early 1970s and still be one of the more desirable Direct Drive models, if it were and it was closer I would grad it for the museum.

While these were top cleaning DWs it would never make it into my kitchen, the loading was just too restrictive as you couldn't put anything really large in either rack and I am past the time where I will put up with any DW that leaves food bits in the bottom of the machine.
