Hobart AM-9. Most likely from the late 60's. I've used them many times and they are a true powerhouse.

At 240V three-phase you'll dim your neighbors lights every time you turn it on!

Cool Hobart AM-9 DW

Yes you will need three phase 208 power to run the motor [ never heard of 240 three phase power ] but the overall power draw of this machine is little more that a standard electric clothes dryer so other than the motor this would run fine in almost any house. I have run several commercial Hobart DWs at our shop on the 30 AMP dryer test circuit that have 5000 watt booster heaters.

For that machine's age, that's in great shape.

3Ph 240V power-have it at the transmitter site-used to run the Continental Transmitters 230-240V 3Ph blowers, pumps, and LV DC supplies.A three phase bank of transmformers here steps the incoming 4160V to the 240V 3Ph-1500A.Used to find this sort of power at very old transmitter sites and buildings.the 208/120V has replaced it for the most part-the building I am in also has a 4160V to 208/120V supply-another 3 Ph bank of transformers.
