This was the first model of these offered of these and as far as I know WH was the first company to ever offer a stacked washer and dryer, in fact WH even though they were making Combination Washer-Dryers when these came out they quickly started promoting these as a better alternative. This and Frigidaire s introduction of the Skinny-Mini around ten years later changed automatic washer history for ever.
As many of you have seen in addition to the Combos at our warehouse I have devoted space to more than ten of the early and other interesting stack laundry appliances that were made here in the US.
I hope someone gets this set they are fairly easy to restore [ if you can find a washer door boot ], I have some used parts for these and am very knowable about them if someone gets them and needs help, John. |

Can these be used as undermounts? It's hard to tell from the pictures, but I envision them under a countertop. Your expert opinion, please! |

Yes these can be unstacked, the unique thing about this pair is you turn the dryer upside down when they are stacked. When the dryer is in the normal unstacked position you turn the name plates over and the dryers timer dial is also turned 180 degrees. Like the FL MT Neptune's both the washer and dryer doors are reversible. |

I have plenty of room in the basement to store them if you want to get these. I'll get to work to finish getting the Multi-Matic reassembled. These are awesome! |

Saw your link in your profile with your neat GE vintage 'turquoise' appliances. I've never seen a configuration like that before. And the remodeling you all did is just so impressive. I had to tell you that. I keep hoping Chris will get the little pink set. |

She certainly didn't do her research here.
Something tells me the pretty restored appliances at AntiqueAppliances.com were the yardstick. Not many people outside this hobby understand the difference between their basement or garage or estate find and the expensively restored units there. Oh, well. I wish her success. |

There's acutally some truth to that though. I've seen pink toilets for asking prices of $600 or more when the same exact make and model in white usually goes for $25 or free.
Anything over $500 for a rare set like this that has not been meticulously restored and in perfect working condition is just ludicrous. |
