I just love how Whirlpool touted the daylights out of the fact that their washers featured the "Suds-Miser" for thrifty load after load of "Clinic-Clean" laundry.  Of course, for most women, this was probably their first non-wringer type machine, and couldn't bear the thought of dumping that perfectly useful wash water down the drain after just one load.  I love my suds-saver machine, and still use it every washday.

Sun a Tizer and Germicidal Lamps

I know these have been discussed before, but it's been awhile.

Do they work, and if they did, why don't they use them anymore ?

Perfect Solution to the Moldy Front Loader Issue.

I remember the Hamilton Dryer my neighbor had growing up that had the Sun-E-Day Lamp in it.

Sure they work! Remember when Robert and Fred were on TV last March? Proof positive that the germicidal lamps work - they haven't had polio once! LOL

Eddie I think you may have come up with the perfect solution for moldy washers, this would be the answer for people that want to wash with Eco Detergents in cold water.

"Porcelain tops, too!"

Now there's a concept that died a hard death at Whirlpool....

Suds saving was a great idea

If your clothing is not real dirty, I would think the sudsaver would work out nice and probably just as thrifty as an HE machine.  I  think this idea may be introduced again.  During the partners father's illness we had family here from Colorado and their stories about water usage made a big impression on me. I am thankful to live where water is plentiful. alr
