Just aquired this, thought it was a vintage machine but later discovered its much more recent (2000). Paid £30 does anybody think is worth the money. It's really dirty and heavly scaled up (i.e. sump and dispenser drawer tubes). The bearings are sound (no movement) and is immaculate inside.

It will need to be modified :)

Hey Guys
Matt and I will be running this from a normal 13A socket so it will need one of the heaters taking out of circuit and a thiner mains lead fitting. Should be easy enough to do though :).....

GBP30 sounds a bit of a bargain even if it needs some work.....

....just check out what a replacement would cost!

Newer than we thought....

Hey Guys
Upon internal inspection it was actually made in December 2004 making it one of the last of this model.
Have decided to at least initially convert it to 13A- literally a case of removing the live lead from the 2nd heater and insulating it.
The cable will fit the terminals of a MK Safetyplug but the outer sheath is too big for the clamp so its just on the inner cores but its not going to be under strain so its not a problem...Oh it spins fine but needs a water test.

£30 seems like an incredibly good buy for that Miele.

I've only seen one of them before but they seem to be very sturdy machines which I wouldn't be surprised to see still running in 50 years time.

I'm not sure but when new they must have been in the thousands to purchase?
