We were out shopping today and I decide since we were walking past our local Sears Scratch & Dent outlet I'd stop in and look around.

The stuff they had this time didn't look as beat up as the last time I looked in January of this year. As I was walking along, what did I come across? A Miele T9802 dryer! Brand new. They wanted $695.00 for it. I didn't see any scratches or damage to the thing at all. That's a pretty good deal for that dryer.

I asked one of the salesmen how did a Miele dryer end up in their inventory. I thought Miele's are only sold through the Miele dealer network. He said it just appeared one day in the inventory. A lot of people have looked at it, but the dryer door is hinged on the left and most people want the door hinged on the right. So there it sits.

Isn't that odd? I wonder how it got in there?

Miele

was available at the "Great Indoors" home decor centers that were part of Sears.

So I imagine that the Sears Scratch & Dent stores carry inventory from "The Great Indoors" stores. The only one we had in Houston closed last June.

More news from Sears, there was a sign at The Woodlands mall in front of Sears that stated that "Nordstrom to occupy this space 2013". So I guess Sears will close that store. The mall is pretty upscale, I'm surprised Sears hasn't succeeded there. The store has been there for at least 10 years.
