INDESIT! Sweet remember

What sweet remembers about Indesit! My aunt had one, a FL.
Here in Italy Indesit is still sold and it's a brand of Merloni Elettrodomestici, with Ariston brand too.
Bendix don't make me remember nothing, but if you say Philco-Bendix, I remember the first Philco FL washers of the '50 and '60 years, sold in Italy!
There was a TV adv during those yaers, saying "E per gli sposi una lavatrice Philco" taht means buy a Philco FL wahser if you got just married!

wascator & Candy

Hi frederiksan!

Is that wascator a hard mounted washer? or maybe semi- automatic?
I own a Candy washer, a new one(cne-88t)! The washing quality doesn't satisfy me very much! I think those italian mashines are youst crap! I came here to find out, weather american mashines are better!

Yep that wascator is Semi-automatic. It washed about 5 kg.

I,m not surprised about that you said about italian washers. Some are good but Candy is a low bad machine. The same goes for Ariston and such "cheap" machines. They are of course good if you cant afford.. Lets say an Milele that is said is the best washers in the world.

I havent used so many american machines so i dont know how good or bad they are.

wascator

Interesting mashine! Miele had such a mashines too! It's hard to find a mashine that rinses good enugh. My mashine doesn't rinse very good. I'm thinking about to buy a used washer/ Dryer pair. Not that I couldnt afford a new miele washer, I don't want to pay 1000 Euro for an appliance!

My mother bought a Candy in the sixties. It was her first automatic washing machine. Before that she had a twintub but also sent laundry out. Anyway, the Candy didn't last very long, after several repairs she replaced the machine within one year.
