"For repairing washers that will not agitate"

+1 on the agitator and +2 on the seller's optimism. :)

Kenmore?

re: Kenmore?

Sometime in the mid 90's, Sears had only a couple of models of washers, dryers and dishwashers that were made by GE. It was only for about 2 or 3 years as Sears didn't get great feedback on the GE made machines compared to the Whirlpool made machines.
You could tell the difference in design at the store but the control panels looked the same as all the other Kenmores.

There WERE Canadian Kenmore washers that were GE made.  As TwinTubber said these were short lived as they were not as good as the WP DD machines and Sears heard about it.    Don't remember seeing any of these in the USA but did see many GE built lower line KM DWs and some stoves and fridges.   The better DWs were WP Powerclean based machines.

I remember the GE built BOL or near BOL DWs. In fact, I purchased a few of them for rental properties. I think I remember the stoves.
I did not know that they did washers.

I wouldn't be surprised. I remember seeing some BOL GE, top freezer frigs, around 1997, that had the RCA label on them.
