I have a Maytag E2L wringer washer with serial # F173651N and I was wondering what year this unit was made. |

That poses a conundrum. The 6 digit serial number with a letter preceding and following is consistent with an E2L manufactured between 1954 and 1959. Wringers made between 1945 - 1953 used a 6 digit serial number but only had a letter AFTER the serial number.
This might be an issue only Geoff can help with! Since you posted a pic of the serial number, can you post a picture of the whole machine including a shot inside the tub. There are many of us who can date one of these machines to within about 5 years just by looking at them. |
