Could another 3314L owner help me with the inlet hose connection please.

A photo of how the hose connects to the spin can would be awesome. There appears to be a hole where the hose goes in the spin can. The hole also has a tiny shiny bit on it.

Thanks so much.

A Hole ?

Hi, there should be a tube that goes through the corner of the outer spinner container and right up into the swivel rinse/fill spout, the bottom of this tube simply has the fill hose pushed onto it and clamped with a spring clip.

If you lift the rinse spout slightly and swivel it round to face the back of the machine it should lift out, when removed do you see a tube coming up from the corner of the outer spin container, I haven't got a machine handy to take a photo for you.

From what you say above it appears this tube is missing?

Hi Steve, did you see my last post in the other washdog thread, refering to the Southsea Hoover shop.

Mathew

Hi. No there is no tube simply a hole. So that means there is a art missing. Possibly thrown away when the fill hose was lost.

So really the machine will not work with a fill hose now. What a shame.

Just found a diagram

Ignore the U shaped part, this is the later machine pictured in the other thread, one with the orange knobs, the fill pipe on yours just attaches and goes straight down and through the back pannel next to the drain hose. You can just make out the part Im talking about, I just took a quick photo of the page in the book.

Whilst this means you won't be able to auto rinse, you will need to plug up the hole before you can use the spinner, I'll try and have a look over the weekend if I've got anything that may help.

Hope you don't mind me asking, but it seems a bit anonymous not knowing your name.

Mathew

Hmm I will have a closer look Sunday. There is like a slight protrusion from the spin can near the top and this has a silver edging. The spin can is plastic.

Today I fixed the pump and replaced the broken timer knob and the machine works fine. The spin belt is badly cracked so will change that along with the pulsator belt. I thought I might need a new pump but it worked free with some twisting of the pulley. The water valve must work fine because the machine draine both from the tub and the spinner.

I have an original instruction book so will scan in for you

I don't think I've got a spare tube for this either but will check over the weekend. There is an ebayer called Moorgoods and they seem to have a lot of old parts for twin tubs and top loaders so you could try them. I used them to get some parts for my hotpoint top loader and they were very helpful. Failing that you might be able to make something up with some plumbing bits. As London as it fits comfortably in the spout so you can still move it and you get a good seal in between the pipe and spin tub you should be ok.

Hi Mathew - yep I saw the photo and posted. Do you have the service info scanned in as I would love a copy if you could email me? I've got to service my T5024 and the info would be useful for parts etc.

Cheers
Steve

Meant to say well done on getting it all going again. Good news that the pump is working but it sounds like it could need a bit of grease to keep it from seizing again. Happy washing
