There was also a very clean TOL Magic Chef gas range, late '70's early '80's. Just $99. I would had snapped it up, but wrong color.

Late 70s MC SCing Gas Range

It sure is in good condition but I could not imagine a worst more poorly built SC gas range and just try to find the missing thermostat and burner knob, LOL.

The whole area under the oven [ where you get a storage drawer today ] was filled with plumbing and ignition parts and even the top burner ignition system was unusual and impossible to fix today as nothing has been available for this range for a LONG time.

If I had to have a SCGR from this time period I would look for a Caloric.

Ouch, thank God it wasn't white then...

When I was there before, the missing knobs were there. I guess some one swiped them. Still is nice looking though.

My Pet Peeve

I hate people that take knobs,I see it all the time! Just once I would like to catch someone taking a knob.It can be anything an old radio,a TV,you name it.You go look at something the next day the knobs are gone.Dont people realize how hard it is sometimes to find replacements!!!!! To me they are the lowest on earth!

Our local St Vincent's keeps the knobs from the appliances in the back room, until it's sold. A lot less thievery that way.
