EWWWW!!! A later-model Dual-Tumble (probably 1994) suffering from HORRIBLE "Rustinghouse Syndrome". Makes mine look like a show-quality gem, and y'all have seen what THAT looks like! The door boot is ripped beyond belief as well, probably due to an off-balance load which these machines are known all too well for; replacement is a MUST. Also new front panel, door assembly, and timer control! Not to mention the porcelain failure in the tub...OY!

If I were the seller I'd Krush the whole &*#$@% thing!

Interesting...I noticed it also has the Weigh-To-Save door, unlike mine.

If it were a "real" Westy (before dual-tumble) it would be almost worth saving.

Whitey no good.

I do like those Westy front loaders and if it were a potato pulley machine or older, I'd at least try to save it. I enjoyed Austin's WW but there wasn't alot of splashing. Kinda like a Frigemore in a Westinghouse body.

One place I get trade ins from, gets these front loaders in from time to time.I was told they sell a lot of them to dairy farmers, who keep them in the barn and wash parts from the milking machines in them.Out in the barn, they don't care if they leak,as long as they still work.

"...wash parts from the milking machines" For as much as I, a city kid, know about milking machines they are made out of hoses and tanks and other mechanical parts. What could you wash in a clothes washer?

That's what I was told,I'm not sure what they wash in 'em. Unless they put in the part that attaches to the cow.....

Jason, you mean you didn't like my Dual-Tumble?? LOL ;-)

On a more serious note: In the wash-in music videos when the Dual-Tumble footage was shown, I had it fully loaded which resulted in very little splashing. However, it is much more fun to watch with a smaller load and higher water level. I'm surprised I didn't see any footage of the half-load I put in the machine, when I had it tumbling in one direction. Combined with the "just right suds" of Fresh Start, it made for some VERY splashy action. All of the pictures I posted of the machine were taken when this load was running, hence the suds up on the window!!

I'll have to make a video clip of a small load (set to one direction) so everyone can see what the action is like.

oh

I don't know if I have footage of the half-load actually. I kinda don't remember it. I was too fascinated with the Kenmore. Well, I take that back then. I did enjoy the dual-tumble. I just didnt' get good memories of it lol.
