Is this agitator a cross between an Easy and a Roto Swirl?

Sure looks like it. To the best of my knowledge, only the Roto Swirl ended the spiral vanes with the turned out fin portion near the end of the skirt. GE & Easy kept the ends of the spiral vanes more parallel to the edge of the skirt which made the load move in a more circular motion while turning over more slowly than the Roto Swirl.

I can't make out the name of the machine.

The name of the washer is Mitrade.

I'm trying to conjure an accurate memory of the "preggers" Roto-Swirl on our 1960 Kenmore. You are right about the bottom ends of the vanes; it looks distinctly like a RS there. However, this agitator differs from an RS in that the vanes didn't start right at the top, as they do on the Mitrade.

Interesting! Have not seen an agitator quite like this one, before.

Thanks, Robert! Again, this is why I love AW: Someone will step forward with photos of a clutch of agitators for a session of compare-and-contrast.
