We've seen so many unique panels and controls on Kenmores over there years, I thought, oh my, another one, till my eye caught the Hotpoint pendant.

So glad you found Ben a rare dream machine. That is one classy Maytag! ummm Easy... ummm Frigidaire... ummmm Apex ;'D

I hope you get it Ben, these had a neat style to them. About a month ago I picked up the a less deluxe version of the same washer from Ted in Maryland, mine is in great shape but I need the cabinet to pump hose [ I think that I will be able to adapt something but I haven't had the time ] other wise it runs great. I don't know whether or not I will keep my HP so if it is on anyone's dream list let know, Good Luck with yours, John.

Booo!

Thats the one we had when I was a kid the repairman just about lived with us.It was the worst machine built.Maybe a lemon,I did like to watch it as a kid operate.

Doesn't Robert have one of these in his collection? Isn't this the one with the funky Wond-R-Dial (or something like that)? If so, will you need to attend a class to understand how to operate that timer?

This happens. I personally would not want an early-'60s Lady Kenmore, because my second cousin Betty Ann had one (in Turquoise, no less!) and it was the Technician's Delight - forever breaking down with expensive problems. And this was a meticulous housekeeper with a family of four, not someone who beat appliances to death.

So, hopefully, your experience with the Hottie was unique - I know people who swear by Lady K's like Betty Ann's.

It was the Norm!

It must have been abad year,my parents friend had the same one JUNK! I personally would like to have one, that sucker could really spin some clothes though. Its like Frigidaire washers they really werent good machines,I remember the dealer always had his repair shop in the back full of them.WO65s and those control towers,I personally believe people overloaded these machines.I like them too. They always had a dozen or so beyond repair outside for most part of the sixties! They also sold Maytag, you never saw any of those back there.Of course around here, its all blucollar, shipyard workers, telephone lineman me.I always came home a mess,my Kenmore really got a work out.
