Haven't seen one of these for ages. One on Mother Dear's Whirlpool was chrome and glass.

Looks like a 1970s version. After the chrome and glass, they went to the plastic that was somewhat translucent, and then this. My friend's mom's 1975 large capacity Whirlpool had one like it. | ||
