Hello all,
Right, well, nans zanussi FL583 has broken again and a miele has been ordered to replace it. She was originaly going to hold off buying a new machine because it was working fine, so, the other night she was going to start a wash, powder in, load in, programmed it and turned it on annnd..........nothing, the mains indecator came on and the machine did nothing, door was still unlocked and the machine did nothing. Now, she has given me the machine as for a restoration project because she knows I have a softspot for it, I was wondering if anyone could help me try to get it up and running again.
Tom :)

Does anyone know how to remove the plastic clamp band from the outer rim of the door seal?

plastic clamp

Hi Tom,
Just pop a screwdriver underneath it and pop it off.You will then see how to put it back, simple job.
Good luck.

3 Tag

Ah,now then..hmmm...well this is secret jargon we you to confuse the victims..ooops I mean the punters,

S simple,,2 tag lock 2 cables,,,3 tag lock,,3 cables 4 tag etc etc
This is to make sure you have the correct switch,,,,might be quicker if I come an do it me bleedin self :)...the two outer wires usually live, and the centre nuetral..the switch could be simply bypassed, but I think that will be lesson number 85.so you better bring an apple and 20 woodbins

Thursday was my lucky day lol, had a fiddle with the lock and now it works, but you have to turn it on first and then slam the door shut otherwise it wont start :)

The 4 tag interlocks were for machines with a light on the door to show that it was locked.
